SKILL ACQUISITION

Statistic shows that Women are the most poor in our societies. This can be attributed to gender inequality, cultural and religious norms and values, and power dynamics between men and women.

In Africa high proportion of women are deprived of the chance to contribute to Labour market, and are rather seen & addressed as a "full House wife" with full responsibility of taking care of the children and the entire household.

This becomes a problem for a woman that's lost her husband (Widow) to death as she becomes helpless due to the fact that her help and her only means of livelihood (Her husband) is no more.

At PBAF. we help to bridge the emotional imbalance by organizing skill acquisition programs and seminars for widows and the less privileged women.

Apart from Africa accounting for more than half of all maternal deaths worldwide each year, Africa women are faced with unbearable burden of illness, disease and death which is mostly attributed to unaffordability of basic health care.

Based on this subjection, Africa women are suffer greatly from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), notably cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, chronic
respiratory diseases and other illness which would have been combacted if medical care is affordable and accessible.

The Problem

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, Nigeria has one of the highest numbers of out-of-school children in the world.
